TREE CARE
How to Care for
Your Christmas Tree
A few simple steps will help your fresh-cut Fraser Fir
stay beautiful throughout the season.
-
Water Right Away
Place your tree in its stand and add water as soon as possible after delivery. A fresh tree will begin taking up water right away.
-
Keep It Watered
Check your tree stand every day and keep it filled with fresh water. Never let the water level fall below the base of the trunk.
-
Keep It Cool
Choose a place for your tree away from fireplaces, heating vents, and other heat sources. A cooler room helps your tree retain moisture and stay fresh longer.
-
Use LED Lights
LED Christmas lights produce significantly less heat than traditional incandescent lights, helping prevent your tree from drying out.
-
Plain Water Is Best
There's no need to add sugar, aspirin, plant food, or other additives to your tree stand. Fresh, plain tap water is all your tree needs.
-
Watch for Dryness
Check your tree throughout the season. Brittle branches, dry needles, or excessive needle shedding are signs that the tree is beginning to dry out.
